“Experience success”

Prince’s Trust

We want to make sure that you have the best start to your working life. Through our partnership with The Prince’s Trust we deliver The Achieve Programme. This course focuses on developing your personal and employability skills and ultimately improves your chances of getting a job.

Key to the programme are our links with local employers who can offer you a range of support from mentoring to work placements which means that you get a chance to put what you’ve learnt into practice.

Trainees on the programme also get the chance to attend enrichment days which have included Army taster events, sailing sessions and Robot War competitions.

The programme is accredited, so, depending how long you’ve spent with us, you’ll receive an award, certificate or diploma.

Harrogate Town FC
“Be part of our team”

Since 2015 Veloheads and Harrogate Town FC have worked closely in developing and delivering our “Wheels in Motion” project. The project was recognized in 2017 by the Football Association’s Conference League as the most innovative community project in the country.

Our partnership with the club means that their staff and players play a key role in our delivery by providing our trainees with mentors, giving us access to the club’s facilities, securing funds to invest in our project and by simply inspiring us to achieve our milestones.

The Veloheads project... ... is a really valuable asset to the town

Managing Director HTFC

“Facing the challenge together”

Business Network

We realise that we Veloheads alone cannot meet the needs that social, educational and employment pressures present to our trainees. Instead we look to work closely with partners in our community who are able to support our trainees by providing experience, expertise and skills which will enable them to build secure futures for themselves.

Areas where we particularly look for support include:

  • People to join our mentoring programme
  • Businesses who can offer work experience placements
  • People who can deliver business skills to our trainees
